Yet again the persona in last week's top spot, Muddweller, has disappeared. No-one has reported him slain in the pursuit of points, so maybe we will see him return to the Land and claim the number 1 position, again, some time. Mudweller's absence continues the precedent of no player holding on at the top for more than 7 days. The substantial number of new entries this week indicate an equal number of persona must have vanished over the same period. The roar of a FOD spell has thundered through the Land on more than one occasion in the last seven days, with Tetsuo (last week 7) and Akasha (previously number 13) both terminated in this fashion. Indeed magic has been the cause of a further two deaths with the touch stone seeing off both Dimwit and Lestat (placed 17 and 19, respectively, last week). In more bloody deaths, Incinerate was finished off by the silent approach of his mortal foe, and Rainbow had his existence seized by the wolf. Defiant in defeat, Rainbow bravely battled back on a new persona, but once again was pasted by the terrifying wolf.

Dirk (a previous fastest climber) is this week's number 1 persona. Congratulations, Dirk! Sirkilalot is just bubbling under; from what I have heard his reward this week as winner of Admiral Bombow's second Challenge helped him move up the two places to number 2.

Only Deadwood and Florence fall this week, down 1 place a-piece. Both seem to be determined to hold their places more or less steady, so we look forward to seeing them climbing again over the next week. Laura, Shortcake and Paekche hold firm with no change in placing. Toto was voted Player of the Month this week, and also becomes this week's fastest climber with a meteoric rise, up 9 places, from last week's number 16 to this week's number 7. Toto just pips this week's highest new entry: Sonsie. Sonsie is new to the Top 20 and makes it in at number 8, only one place above Dilly, another new face.

Once more many new players join the bottom of the Top 20, with Sassenach, Beermug, Angelmist, Bigwoody, Joxer and Pusnnboots occupying 6 of the bottom 7 places. Hastur splits the group of 6 in two, up three places to number 17. As a determined bunch, I'm sure we'll see this group making a spirited charge on the higher places of the Top 20 very soon!
