What's going on? Sonsie has now been at the tip of the Top 20 for 9 weeks: this is an astounding achievement, particularly considering she *still* hasn't changed level to witch! Since we started keeping records, back in March this year, 12 different players have held the number 1 position. The question is, where are they now?

As you can see, simply being at the top of the chart is no guarantee of imminent immortality, although now-a-days it is becoming a necessary prerequisite. Watch this space to find out where Sonsie will go next...

Arcady is doing very well. Just below Sonsie, he's number 2 in this week's Top 20. To appreciate what a hard task he has in climbing further up the Top 20, you'd have to know that he has a third fewer points than Sonsie! Where does this place the other 7 mages listed in the latest chart? I'd say they all have a lot of hard work ahead of them if they want to reach the top.

Last week's number 2, Beermug, hasn't been seen in The Land this week, although he's still around somewhere. Mohican has fallen one place, pushed down by Arcady. Angelmist has unusually dropped one place to number 7, with the appearance of this week's Highest New Entry, Pippen, at number 6. I don't know how Pippen raced up to the top half of the char so quickly; perhaps there were very powerful forces at work there.

Most personae in the lower half of the chart make some progress this week, moving up one or two places a piece. Fatality, a newcomer who looked to be embarking on a promising career bringing other mortals' promising careers to an end, was himself brutally murdered during Tuesday evening's mobile bash. The Imperial forces of Ming the Merciless and his minion Azrael quelled the bash rebel, Fatality.

Finally, plenty of good luck to Shard and Darkdreams, entering the Top 20 for their first times, at positions 19 and 20 respectively.
