Up 'til just last night it seemed as if Moneypenny would succeed in clinging to the top spot for a second week in succession. Where is Moneypenny? How did James climb so fast from last week's number 7 to this week's number 2? The explanation is hardly a surprise: Moneypenny met her demise at the romantic Classical ruin, in what many mortals are describing as a jealous tiff turned sour. James did the damsel with the axe and in the process nearly made it to number 1 himself. During the week Doolally and Fratricide also both disappeared in strange circumstances, although James is known to have missed out in both cases.

Congratulations Sdrawkcab for appearing this week and in the process qualifying in pole position! Lestat, returning from target practise elsewhere, makes a show at the other end of the chart, and I've heard hopes to see you about more...

Laura makes progress up 2 places to number 3. Deadwood, Tetsuo and Shortcake hold steady; but Nightmare, straight in at number 11, pushes Sirkilalot, Greybeard and Paekche down a single place each. Florence and Merlin (both of whom showed promise previously) slip three places and are split by a new entry at number 14: Mazzic. Mike is also new in at number 6, being only just beaten by Dirk (this week's fastest climber, zipping up a hugely impressive 9 places to number 5).

Finally a small word of encouragement to Dimwit and Beermug who, no doubt, between them will show great courage over the next few weeks and hold Lestat down at number 20.
