While briefly paying a visit to the Land recently, Sdrawkcab became last week's premier persona. However, it seems the publicity has proved too much; he hasn't been seen around since to claim the coveted position for two weeks in a row. Its all change at the top with last weeks number two, James, swiftly following in his former lover's footsteps and now pushing up the daisies. Further down the chart, Spiderman lost his grip on last week's number 10 spot by burning himself to death when his magic backfired with disastrous consequences in a fight; Beermug has disappeared from last week's number 17 slot having been slain in a brave (but futile) stand against Tetsuo.
This week we see another old face return: Muddweller, who, new to the chart, captures the top place: straight in at number 1. Congratulations, Muddweller! I hope you can stick it out for another week, and become the first player to remain at the top for more than 7 days.
This week's only fallers are Laura and Shortcake. Laura loses the two places she made last week, falling back to number 5, while Shortcake loses a fortnight's gains, slipping three places back to number 11. On the bright side, Dirk (a new entry only a couple of weeks ago) has moved still further up the chart this week, reaching number 2. Despite this he was unable to claim the prize of fastest climber again this week, a title held for the first time by two players, Florence and Paekche, both up four places to positions 9 and 12 respectively. Sirkilalot moves up 3 places, as does Nightmare. This is particularly noteworthy for Sirkilalot who as a "Player of the Month" has yet to suffer its associated curse although one attempt after another has been made to seize up his existence.
Lots of new players join at the lower reaches of the Top 20 this week, with Akash, Turin, Rainbow and Toto entering above last week's lowest placed Dimwit and Lestat. As predicted last week Dimwit has done a fine job displaying stalwart courage in keeping the determined Lestat penned into the bottom end of the chart, one place below himself.
