Par for the course, as far as Sokar is concerned. Perhaps he didn't feel the touchstone presented enough danger to Tolkien?

Bit unfortuntate this. In terms of chance, Sokar's luck fell short by less than 1%!

Sokar has been around (on and off) for quite a while. He can't resist the aroma of mage meat or, for that matter, the whiff of a warlock.
